I just finished the last novel written by a neighbor ... Mr William Boyd himself "is taking on her races at the same supermarket as me ;-).
For not content with being one of the truly contemporary British writers (ie alive and not too old!) And read more, it is also at the head of a winery in the beautiful vineyards Pomport (24). He even give signings (his bottles!). Click on the title of this message for more information ...
All that to say that I highly recommend (because it's 36 degrees today-how very funny) his last novel
' Ordinary Thunderstorms 'by William Boyd (2009 - 403 pages)
Minimum level required: B2 (to determine your level of reading, see the pages of June 09 of this blog)
The novel gives rise to a manhunt in London today, the suspense is panting, not too many characters, despite the 400 pages and the plot is worthy of a good thriller. Not to mention you discover parts of London in one day wonderfully menacing ...
The type of book you can not ask ( unputdownable ) ...
Perfectly compatible with the beach, despite the danger ... you forget to spread sunscreen
;-) Let
